Mr. Novak has been with Schlyer & Associates for over 10 years and has served as a law clerk, paralegal and an attorney with the firm. David has strong ties to Northwest Indiana. Raised in Hammond, he now resides in Crown Point. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Purdue University Calumet. David completed his legal education at Valparaiso University School of Law and is licensed to practice throughout Indiana, Illinois, the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana Federal Courts, the Northern District of Illinois Federal Courts and the United States 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. In order to most effectively represent his clients, David is an active member of numerous legal organizations. He concentrates his practice in the areas of Personal Injury and Commercial Litigation.
Besides also practicing law, David is an Adjunct Professor of History at Purdue University - Calumet. David teaches two U.S. History classes. Mr. Novak is also a regular volunteer at the Southlake YMCA and is active with his son’s
Boy Scout troop.
